Holly Harmony #1 - Behind Lungs Full

Honestly? "Lungs Full" started as just a chorus. No verses, no bridge, no plan. Just Taia, Ariana, and Sanfer in the middle of an impromptu jam session that somehow stuck. We didn't even know what the full song was going to be yet; we just knew the chorus had to exist in the world.

Once we decided it was going to be our first single, everything clicked into place fast. Like, really fast. The foundation for the whole song came together in a single night. This time, Amsara, Taia and Sanefer, in our living room, with this hook that felt like something we had to say. The kind of creative session where nobody goes to sleep because you don't want to lose the momentum.

The Studio

We immediately scheduled a couple of studio sessions with Marc Solomon, our engineer and producer, and from the jump, we had a vision. We wanted something with that classic 90s hip-hop feel but wrapped in a sound that still felt fresh and current. We wanted something that hits different because it was THAT good.

All four of us stepped in as co-producers on this one. We weren't just in the studio to lay vocals and leave; we were hands-on, in the mix, making decisions. That felt important. This was our introduction, and we needed every layer of it to be ours.

The result? Honestly, it came out better than we imagined. The only real words we have are proud.

The Visuals

We shot the visuals entirely ourselves. No big crew. No fancy equipment. Just Holly Girlz, iPhone 16, and full determination.

We originally had more locations in mind, but limited time narrowed it down to two spots: Sanefer as our mastermind leader in this effort, we resorted to a park in Los Angeles and the middle of a neighborhood street, both shot in one day. And honestly? That constraint made it better. More focused. More intentional.

The whole concept was about showing that music is everywhere we go. We don't leave it at the studio, we carry it with us. So you'll see recording equipment set up in the middle of a park, microphones in the street. Not in a try-hard way. In an, of course it's here way. Because it always is.

What Changed From Idea to Completed Project?

The biggest shift was scale. We let go of trying to hit every location on our original list and leaned into the intimacy of just two. Less was more. The vision still landed, probably harder because of it.

The song itself stayed true to what it was from night one. Some things just don't need to be overthought. "Lungs Full" was one of those songs. We cleared our throats.
